NOCHE BLANCA EXTRAVAGANZA!

"El pastor me llamó para que me acercara y viniera, y me tocó y me dijó, sánate y despues sentí que esa fiebre que tenía se me quitó, sé que él tenía el poder de Dios"...Wrong!

Hello everyone, that was just a brief experience from last night, people claiming to have been healed by random pastors and other people from their sicknesses by the pastor like smacking them on the forehead. You just can't do that, I'm sorry. Elder Wright and I analyzed that situation more in depth after the lesson had ended and I came up with a math equation that explains how miracles occur, as far as healing is concerned. Faith + Priesthood Power = Miracle. If you take away the faith of the person, Priesthood can't just heal you, because the person needs to believe that the blessing will work. Jesus said that He couldn't work miracles among certain groups of people because of the lack of their faith. They didn't believe in Him, nor in His divine power. Also, to simply believe that miracles can happen for healing, but have them not be done over Priesthood power, if they do work, I think it is mostly just by the faith of the person believing in Christ is why they end up being healed instead of the "power" of the pastor.

Anyway, besides all that, we had 3 baptisms this past week! WOO! They were seriously all miracles that the Lord blessed us with. I dressed up super funny for the baptisms. I found this giant astronaut looking pajama suit and put that on with a tie. I looked ridiculous as you will all see from the pictures, but it was an incredible service. We sang the song "I Like to Look for Rainbows" in Spanish while Elder Vance played softly on the guitar and Wright and I too sang. It went really well for being so impromptu. These people are true converts, and are really excited to continue in the gospel.

Our chapel here where we normally attend is now under construction. It was the stake center and they're knocking it down to build up a huge one in its place, but that won't be done for like a year or so, so I'll never see it in person. If they make it look anything like some of these stake centers here, it's going to look really beautiful.

Elder Wright and I decided that we are too lazy at the end of the day to write in our journals, so we are now doing video journals every night. We film little videos together or separate in like 10 minutes or so every night talking about what we did during the day. much more interesting, way more fun, lots more details, etc. Out with the old and in with the new baby, paper is out, cameras are IN! One of those videos in the past week was with Wright's birthday, and I filmed him cutting the cake that I bought him, it was sweet.

It was a great week, running out of time on the internet, things are going really well. This is the last week of this change now, and I'm pretty sure that I'm going to my last area for the last 3 months of my mission. Wow it has gone by fast. So much more I'd like to write but I'm out of time. I love you all very much, read 3 Nefi, it's an important book!
