Mi ultima semana en Chiriqui‏

Oh no...no...NO!!!...I...I...I think........I like country music.....

Haha, I never thought I'd live to see the day when I started really liking country music. Here on the mission, I've learned what is really important to me, what really matters, and what my heart desires. Let me ask you all a question first off. When you think of American music, what type comes to your mind? The most patriotic, AMERICAN, music that exists? Yes, there's rock music, rock and roll, stuff like that, but I testify that there is no more American music than country. Just think about it. It talks about cowboy stuff, culture, women, beer, bbq in summer, freedom, anything they want, they make it into a song. I can't wait to go back home and listen to a ton of it, because it's great music.

This week has been another really rewarding week. We went into Panama to have a meeting with Pres in which he wanted us to give a lesson in front of some other missionaries. Haha, let me explain a bit about this whole presentation. It's not that we got in TROUBLE persay for going to Volcan, because many other missionaries have done it before, but since we were the first group to go about doing it with President Carmack, he wanted us to talk about the pros and cons of group pday activities. Our main problem was that we started the pday too early, on Sunday night, when in reality we should've worked a few hours longer, but that would've taken away from our goal of getting there for sunrise. It was just a short little thing, we apologized for going about it wrong, but I don't regret doing it at all, one of the MOST rewarding days of my life. New rule in the mission now though, possibly because of our "recklessness", haha, which is that the zone is only allowed to do 2 full zone pdays per change now. All good, I only have 2 changes left, me vale nada haha.

What else went on this week? We're preparing 2 miracle girls to be baptized, a lady that was super inactive that is coming back to church, who just happens to live really close to our house as well, which makes it easy to visit them as the last appointment of the day before heading home. These girls are literal child prodigies, they play like 5 instruments, they paint really well, speak English, etc. Those kind of people are the ones that I'll end up working for when I'm older. We're getting them set to be baptized coming up this month. Yesterday on Sunday, it was great to see how faithful these converts of ours are, all 3 showed up again, even having to go farther to a different chapel. I don't know if I said that yet, but they knocked down our chapel to build a new one, you know, because us Mormons are so loaded that we just like to spend our billions making new chapels, haha. We're going to one a little farther away, which we thought would be a trial for lots of members and investigators, but attendance is staying about the same, it's awesome. And we had 8 investigators in church, so, so much for it being a trial.

Another random thing I did this week, I bought a red pen, looks awesome, writes really well, and it's thin writing which is great, 0.5 mm writing. Everything always looks so much more official in red ink, digo yo.

We had some really great and spiritual experiences this week with references that the bishop gave us. They both lived close to the old chapel, which were pretty easy to find. Actually, they both came to church yesterday too, so hopefully that all turns out well and we can get some baptisms from them and the help of the bishop.

In other sad news, this was my last week out here in David, and I'm really sad to be going. I love it here. The people are great and I love this area and my comp. I bore my testimony yesterday telling everyone thank you for what they had done, all the support, because they really helped us out. I feel like I got to know all these people a lot better than any other area of mine, people by their first names and all, not just Hermana and Hermano so and so. I know that I'm leaving the area in good hands though with Wright, and Elder Pfister is coming in my place, who came in my group to the mission.

I've enjoyed doing the video journals every night with Wright, they're so fun. One of them a few days ago we had a weird walking contest, which you'll all see some months soon on Facebook, haha. I don't know where I'm going yet or what is going to happen to me in these last 2 changes, but I'm excited to start it. Pretty sure this will be my last area.

I love you all very much, I dont have scrips again this week, look in the first few chapters of Mormon, after 4 Nephi, those last few books of the Book of Mormon are so sad, Mormon basically saying that everyone had become so wicked that he couldn't even try to descibe the amonut of death and bloodshed. It would've been so hard to live through all that, knowing that if the people had simply repented, the Lord would've helped them win battles easier, end the wars, etc. Have a wonderful week everyone...where in the world is Carmen Elder Kniff?
