2nd letter home from the MTC, October 15, 2011

Hola Familia,

Our zone leaders told us to write a letter the first night to let our parents know that we were OK, had a bed to sleep in and food to eat, haha. So, I'll write more now since today is a mini Pday. The first day was crazy, shuffling a lot trying to figure out where everything was and what the schedule was. We had this really cool "investigator" exercise though where we went around listened to the stories of 3 different people in person, and heard their concerns. Then we had to write down what topic of the gospel we thought would help them the most. Then we were allowed to stand up and talk to him or her and share what we believed or what could help them gain a testimony in Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. Our teacher, Maestro/Hermano Litzenberger talks almost completely in Spanish, and it's like I wasn't understanding anything. But I'm starting to understand so much in Spanish now. I'm getter better at making all my thoughts be in Spanish o el evangelio (of the gospel). Today is the fourth day and I'm a lot more optimistic and the schedule is becoming more routine. Everyone really does say, "Just make it to Sunday." So from then on, it will be really routine. The food is all tasting the same, not great, but OK. Really big selection, which is nice. I haven't taken many pictures yet because you don't really have any free time here. All it is is working all the time on lessons. The Spirit is so strong here when you get to sing as a group in Spanish or even in English, because you know that we are all here to serve Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.
